The Middle School Program
"Serving the adolescent student; partnering with parents to bridge each student’s path from childhood to adulthood."
The adolescent years mark a new and very different stage of human development.
- Rapid physical growth
- Sense of insecurity in the child who is fast becoming an adult
- Newly developing intellectual abilities—abilities to abstract, conjecture, predict, and create
- Acute social needs—The adolescent asks: Who am I? Where do I fit? What contribution can I make? How can I participate?
- Difficulty reading emotions
- Time of dramatic change in the structure of the brain
- An innate need for adolescents to construct themselves as responsible individuals who participate as contributing members of society
We offer a unique environment for the adolescent.
