OFPO Representatives Descriptions
President
The President shall preside over the Representative Teams, officer meetings, and overall happenings of the Parent Organization. The President will serve as the liaison between the OFPO and the school. President will present the yearly planning documents to the Head of School and the schools Board of Directors.
Vice President/ Treasurer/ Secretary
The Vice President/ Treasurer/ Secretary is responsible for learning the President’s role and for special Administrative projects, for meeting minutes, including minutes to be completed and given to other members within one week post meeting, and keep a binder of minutes recorded. Two weeks prior to the officer meeting secretary will discuss agenda with the President, One week prior will meet with President and Head of School. He/she shall assist and be a resource for the president. He/she shall get updates quarterly from the School Business Manager on OFPO finances.
The Events Team: Representative and Co-Representative
The Events Team: Representative and Co-Representative are responsible to oversee (including budgets and implementation plans) and support sub committees for agreed upon events.
The Fund Development Team: Representative
The Fund Development Team: Representative oversee the annual fund drive for parents, students, and staff. Work (where requested) to streamline Fund Development opportunities. Responsibilities include all correspondence needed with the annual fund (letters, thank you notes, etc.) and providing ideas for fund development. The Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for engaging the parent community, coordinating all volunteer needs, tracking volunteer time and opportunities , follow-up with appropriate thank you notes for volunteers, and communicate with other teams to insure the consistency of thank you notes. The Volunteer Co-Representative would assist with these needs.
Team Representative positions are a two year commitment, one year as Co-Representative learning the roles of and supporting the Representative. The Representative of each team leads that team. Teams consist of Representative, Co-Representative, and parent volunteers who perform the functions of that team.
