Fund Development

Volunteer Classroom SupportThank you for your continued support in making your child's school a positive and academic rich environment. We are all very fortunate to be a part of this community. However, this type of environment doesn't just happen. It grows and flourishes with active parents, like you, who want the very best academic experience for their children and who understand that it takes both their volunteer and financial assistance.

Over the years many private schools have found that to sustain their organization for the long-term, they must shift their "fundraising" efforts to a strategy of "fund development". Based upon the actual proceeds that the school receives, it takes quite a few fundraisers to raise enough money to positively impact a school's budget. Many schools have found that allowing parents and grandparents an opportunity per year to "give" to the school, yields much higher dividends: human resources are centralized to one "ask per year". Parents and grandparents have the confidence in knowing they will not be asked to purchase various items throughout the year and best of all 100% of the donation benefits the school. For these reasons ,Oak Farm Montessori School has chosen a Fund Development approach to our sustainability through the "Go Nuts for Kids" Annual Fund Drive and thru the student "Acoin s for Education" Drive.

The Oak Farm Parent Organization has provided its student body and teachers with amazing benefits with the monies raised through the Acoins for Education, Annual Fund Drive and Winter Wonderland Gala. Field trips, books, classroom and playground purchases and all-school performances or sport programs have all been provided to all students, regardless of the involvement of each family.

Each family is strongly encouraged to participate at the level that they can. Popular Fund Development events such as the Acoins for Education, Annual "Go Nuts for Kids" Fund Drive and Winter Wonderland Gala are all volunteer- dependant and your ongoing involvement is very important.

We are very appreciative of your volunteer spirit and continued support.

Product Labels

As a means of raising extra funds, we participate in several on-going programs, that involve saving labels, receipts and box tops and other similar activities. These "fundraisers" do not require you to sell a product, nor does it cost you anything to participate. Simply save the UPC labels and boxtops from products your family already purchases. We hope everyone in our school community will take the time to support these programs. These items can be collected year round and can be sent to school with your student, or you can drop them off yourself. There is a collection box for all the programs outside the school office. We appreciate everyone's help and cooperation in this worthwhile effort. Please ask relatives and friends to save for you as well. If you would like to volunteer to cut, count and submit box tops, Tyson labels and Campbell's UPCs, please let me know. These tasks can be done at home as time allows though there are strict deadlines for submission that must be followed.

The following is a brief description of each of these programs. Thank you in advance for your participation in these worthy programs.

The Campbell Soup company has a program whereby our school can earn points to purchase items including sports equipment, musical instruments, office and classroom supplies and much more. For this program, please clip the 1 point or 5 point UPC coupon on the label. Some products do not have an actual coupon; in this case, just clip the UPC code with the Labels for Education if it is present near the UPC code. If you are unsure, please send in the whole label including the UPC. Also, for V8 prodcuts, just save the cap.

We use the points earned from this program to select items from the Campbell's program catalogue that will benefit our school and students including items for the classrooms, gym classes, library, and staff workroom.
