Upper Elementary Co-Teacher Opportunity in a Dual Language Immersion Environment

Join an innovative educational environment that supports students as creative, collaborative, critical thinkers, citizens, and individuals.

Oak Farm Montessori School is an infant through high school program with the mission to “provide a Montessori environment that inspires students to reach their potential through meaningful work”.

We are seeking a candidate for an Upper Elementary Dual Language Immersion Co-Teacher fluent in Spanish for the upcoming school year.  This teacher will work with a Lead teacher in a 9 to 12-year mixed-age classroom (4th, 5th, & 6th grade) with approximately 24 students.

Commended for our commitment to the Montessori philosophy and the creation of child-centered environments and for our spirit of trust and collaboration within the entire school community, we offer an exciting, supportive work environment.

Oak Farm Montessori engages teachers who reach for excellence as lifelong learners, in leadership, in emotional literacy, and in the practice of citizenship both in themselves and in their students.

The School environment blends the peace of a pastoral countryside with easy access to the offerings of a larger city.  OFMS is situated on 150+ acres of partially wooded land on the edge of the small town of Avilla, minutes from Fort Wayne, Indiana.  We are dually accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS).

Candidates for this position will hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience teaching in an elementary setting. Montessori Certification and/or experience in a dual language immersion setting is preferred, but not required.  We are seeking individuals demonstrating a track record of strong collaboration, communication, compassion, and competence in working with children within a child-centered philosophy.  Good instincts with safety, supervision, time management, and teaching responsibility are desirable.  A bilingual candidate in English and Spanish is preferred. A great candidate should be a lifelong learner with a drive to inspire children and be inspired.

Please send a resume and a letter of interest to Allena Knepper, Human Resources Director, aknepper@oakfarmschool.com. We are currently accepting applications and interviewing candidates for the 2026-2027 school year.
