Partnerships

At Oak Farm Montessori School, community partnerships are an integral part of our curriculum and reflect our Vision and Values. These meaningful collaborations broaden our students’ understanding of the world and the many roles we each play within it.

Over the years, we’ve developed strong relationships with Common Grace, Merry Lea Environmental Center, Blue Heron Ministries, the Community Learning Center, and Sacred Heart Nursing Home. These partnerships provide hands-on learning opportunities that benefit both our students and the organizations we serve.

Our Partnership with the
Dekko Foundation

Oak Farm Montessori School is also proud to have a long-standing and committed partnership with the Dekko Foundation. For more than 20 years, the Foundation’s generous annual grant, over $2 million, has helped make a Montessori education more accessible by lowering tuition costs for every student and providing financial assistance to 34% of our families.

In a 2018 blog, the Dekko Foundation shared how their proactive grantmaking supports the mission of founder Chet Dekko: creating economic freedom for the communities they serve.

“Oak Farm teaches young people to think critically and solve problems from a very young age. When you have an individual who can think and solve problems, you have a great basis for our foundation’s mission—economic freedom.”

This ongoing financial commitment allows Oak Farm to uphold authentic Montessori principles while maintaining independence. Over the past 15 years, we’ve reduced our reliance on grants and are now 60% financially independent—a milestone we continue to build upon each year.

"At Common Grace Ministries, we recognize the importance of investing in our neighbors when they come to us for assistance.  The stronger each person becomes, the stronger our community becomes. Investing in the students at OFMS is not only our pleasure, but yet another way we can invest in the future of our community. We are grateful for our partnership and look forward to many years of continued relationship with OFMS.”

Angie Kidd, Executive Director Common Grace Ministries, Inc.
