April 13–24, 2026

The Oak Farm Lady Falcons Tennis Team continues to grow in skill, resilience, and confidence as they progress through their inaugural season. Over the past two weeks, the team has demonstrated perseverance, sportsmanship, and a strong commitment to their development both individually and collectively.
The Falcons opened the stretch by hosting Central Noble on April 13. Competing against a more experienced team, varsity players Ivy Witmer, Autumn Goodyear, and Arybella Parks, along with doubles teams Leah Cook & Hannah Lautzenhiser and Marilyn Burtch & Savanna Norton, gained valuable match experience. On the junior varsity side, Helen Brinker secured an 8–3 singles win, while the doubles team of Jenepher Nansamba & Jennevieve McWhirter earned an 8–0 victory, leading to an overall JV tie.
The following week brought exciting progress. On April 20, the Lady Falcons faced a strong Bethany Christian team in a closely contested match, falling just short with a score of 2–3. Ivy Witmer delivered a decisive 6–4, 6–1 win at #1 singles, and Arybella Parks battled to a three-set victory at #3 singles (6–4, 4–6, 6–2). Autumn Goodyear showed remarkable endurance in a 3-hour, 30-minute match at #2 singles, narrowly missing a win in a hard-fought three-set contest.
The team rebounded confidently on April 21 with a commanding 5–0 victory over Churubusco. Witmer and Goodyear led the way in singles with strong performances, while both doubles teams—Leah Cook & Hannah Lautzenhiser (#1) and Arybella Parks & Helen Brinker (#2)—secured decisive wins.
Closing out the week, the Falcons hosted Lakewood Park, where they continued to demonstrate growth against another competitive opponent. Ivy Witmer remained undefeated for the week, earning a hard-fought 7–6 (7–2), 6–0 victory at #1 singles. Arybella Parks also competed with determination in a closely contested match.

As the Lady Falcons continue their season, they embody the Montessori values of perseverance, self-direction, and growth through experience. Each match reflects their dedication to improving their craft and supporting one another as a team.
The Falcons look ahead to their next match on May 5 at Westview. We invite our community to come out and support these student-athletes as they continue their journey.
Go Falcons!
