Many hands make light work

The weather may have slowed us down, but it did not deter our determined building crew. Volunteers worked Thursday through Saturday to start the KinderForest Outdoor Structure that our community so generously funded last Spring. In true Montessori fashion, the crew included some of our secondary students who are learning the ropes of building trades from OFMS parent and Dekko Foundation Project Manager, Greg Matney. Greg and incoming freshman, Porter Lowe, are heading up the project with the help of Eco-Literacy Coordinator, Gena Grobarek and a team of volunteers. Stay tuned for more updates as we complete the project and wrap up with a family build day on Saturday July 30th!
