At Oak Farm Montessori School, we believe that each person is an artist in their own way. Art surrounds us every day, and we strive to nurture a love, appreciation, and understanding of creativity, art, and design. By integrating Montessori principles with art education, we create a program that helps each student reach their potential through meaningful work. Art also connects many subjects, including math, science, and humanities, while fostering social and emotional growth that supports students throughout their lives.

Students are encouraged to express themselves in unique ways using a variety of art processes and materials. Lessons are presented to inspire creativity while supporting individual expression. This approach helps students discover their artistic voice and develop confidence in their creative abilities.

Open studio time allows students to take the skills and knowledge they have gained and create entirely self-directed projects. With access to a variety of materials and support from teachers, students develop original art, problem-solving abilities, and independence. Both assigned lessons and self-driven projects cultivate skills that benefit students in all areas of life, inside and outside the classroom.
