Theatre

Our theatre program invites Upper Elementary, Middle School, and High School students to explore their voices and train their bodies. Students step beyond their comfort zones while building lifelong skills like public speaking, improvisation, commitment, and teamwork.

The work grows with the students. In Upper Elementary, they learn the foundations of acting and improvisation. Middle schoolers begin writing their own plays, and high school students design full productions, from sets and lighting to script analysis of theatrical texts.

Beyond the classroom, Oak Farm Montessori School offers the Oak Farm Montessori Theatre Company (OFMTC), an extracurricular program where students take the stage in full productions. Led by Kavin Ley, Theatre Director and Teacher, OFMTC launched in the 2022-2023 school year and presents three shows each year: an elementary play (grades 1-6), a secondary play (grades 6-12), and a secondary musical.

OFMTC welcomes students from Oak Farm Montessori as well as other local schools and homeschool students. As the program grows, so does the quality and interest in its productions. We invite you to experience the creativity and talent of our students at their next performance!
